WHAT TYPE OF THERAPY DO I PRACTICE?
Therapy is a combination of art, science and experience. Ideally the therapist draws from many disciplines according to the needs of the client. The art is in the subtle assessment of these needs. Sensitivity – coupled with broad knowledge of treatment modalities – gives the best chance for success.
To this end, I work with my clients in a process of self-understanding. We examine beliefs which inform behavior, we discuss early childhood experiences, and we address both old and new trauma with the goal of healing. In addition, the work involves raising unconscious material to consciousness.
Only when you become aware of what is driving your behavior do you have the opportunity and freedom to make new decisions free from hidden compulsion. In doing this work, you can reach new clarity about how you wish to lead your life. You have more control of your life
It is not easy to find happiness in ourselves,
and it is not possible to find it elsewhere.
